Lawanda peterson
Co-Founder

I studied at Robert Morris University in Chicago, earning my Bachelor of Business Administration.

Currently, I utilize my management studies at American International Clinical Group, where I serve as the staff manager. I manage a team of seven employees and recently implemented a new scheduling system that improved workflow efficiency by 20%. I also collaborate with a group of U.S.- based doctors and educators to offer unique experiences to medical students and graduates worldwide.

My work history is diverse. At Children’s Hospital, I worked as an assistant in the cardiology department before transitioning to the business management department. There, I helped analyze data to identify potential areas for hospital growth within the city of Chicago.

I also worked in management at Rush University Medical Center with the Institutional Review Board, where I trained Principal Investigators (PIs) and their staff in ethical research protocols. Before PIs can start their research projects, they must understand the concept of “good ethical practice” when involving clinical subjects in research. They must acknowledge that their patients are called subjects; however, they are first human beings who deserve truth and understanding regarding the project they agree to participate in. Although the research may not help them directly, it can potentially help future patients with the same disease or illness. This understanding should be achieved free of coercion and bias.
